Using Rudie
How does Rudie leakproof underwear work?
An absorbent, leak-resistant gusset is bonded into soft bamboo. It quietly wicks moisture away and locks it in, so you stay dry and protected with nothing to insert and nothing to throw away.
Is it hygienic?
Yes. Every pair is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, tested free from harmful substances, and made with no fluorinated chemicals (PFAS-free). A cold rinse and a cold machine wash keep each pair fresh and ready to wear again.
Who is it for?
Anyone who menstruates or experiences light bladder leaks or everyday wetness. It works for periods, postpartum, perimenopause and beyond.
How long can I wear a pair?
It depends on your flow and the style. On lighter days a single pair lasts all day, up to 12 hours; on heavier days you may change once. The high-waist brief holds the most.
How does it handle odour?
Bamboo is naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, which helps keep things fresh without fragrance.
Is it good for a first period?
Yes. There's nothing to insert and nothing to learn, so it's one of the simplest, most reassuring options for a first period.
Can I use it for light bladder leaks?
Yes. The same leak-resistant construction works for light bladder leaks and everyday wetness, not just periods.
Can I sleep in them?
Yes. They are made for all-day wear, up to 12 hours, so they are comfortable overnight on lighter nights. For a heavier night, the high-waist brief gives the most protection.
Sizing & fit
What size should I choose?
Choose your usual underwear size. Rudie runs in sizes 6 to 14, with a size guide on every product page.
I'm between sizes, what do I do?
If you're between sizes, size up for a more relaxed, no-dig fit. Check the size guide on the product page for exact measurements.
Which style should I pick?
Thong and brief suit lighter and everyday days; the high-waist brief gives full coverage and the most protection for heavy days and nights. Many people keep a mix.
Washing & care
How do I wash them?
Rinse in cold water after wear, then machine wash cold on a gentle cycle.
Can I tumble dry them?
No. Line dry only. Heat damages the fibres and the gusset, so skip the dryer to keep them performing.
What detergent should I use?
A normal mild detergent is perfect. Avoid fabric softener and bleach, which coat or break down the fibres and reduce absorbency.
How long will they last?
With proper care, a pair lasts for years of regular wear, replacing hundreds of disposable products over its life.

Where do you ship?
We ship across Australia, with free shipping on orders over $75. Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days.
How does Bundle & Save work?

What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards, plus Afterpay and Shop Pay so you can pay in instalments.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll get a confirmation and tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.
Returns & exchanges
What is your returns policy?
For hygiene reasons, period underwear can only be returned if unworn with tags and the hygiene seal intact. The bamboo bralette can be returned within 30 days if unworn with tags.
How do I start a return or exchange?
Email hello@rudie.com.au with your order number and we'll guide you through it.
When will I get my refund?
Once we receive and check your return, refunds are processed to your original payment method within a few business days.
Materials & sustainability
What are they made of?
92% organic bamboo and 8% elastane in the body, with a thin, multi-layer gusset (a soft cotton top, a bamboo terry core, and a leak-resistant barrier with seaweed fibre). Up to 70% less synthetic than the standard, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, and made with no fluorinated chemicals.
Why only 8% synthetic and not zero?
We tried for three years to remove the final 8% of elastane. We couldn't without losing the fit and protection you rely on, so we kept it and told you, rather than rounding down to a nicer number.
How is this better for the planet?
One reusable pair replaces hundreds of single-use products and the plastic that comes with them, and ours is made mostly from fast-growing, renewable bamboo rather than plastic.
